The Night Before Christmas (Saafield Publishing Company, 1904) is the fifth in a series of reproductions from the collections of the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The original cloth book was sold by the Minot Stationery Company, Minot, North Dakota. The donor, Ruth Hoffman, lived in Minot, North Dakota, and donated the book to the Society as a part of a larger collection of household goods and North Dakota-made pottery.

The original edition is part of the SHSND Collections, 1986.179.4 at the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Slightly larger than the original this book was reprinted by the Heritage Center Museum Store, Bismarck, North Dakota.
