A collection of  newspaper articles printed by the Farmers Globe Newspaper in Wahpeton North Dakota 1936, depicting the history of Fort Abercrombie  and various other points of interest in Richland County.  The history of Fort Abercrombie includes of the battles and siege of Fort Abercrombie in 1862 involving the US Dakota War of 1862, training soldiers for the Indian Wars and Civil War, steamboat traffic on the Red River, wagon trains, and  Red River Oxcarts.
