"Did You Know That" is a newspaper column written by Curt Eriksmoen and edited by his wife, Jan. The articles focus on notable people, places, and events concerning North Dakota and have attracted many readers. The column, which has been in publication for over six years currently runs in three North Dakota newspapers, and certain articles have been published by magazines and other newspapers, including one in Norway. Curt Eriksmoen is a noted North Dakota historian who has assisted in the editing of textbooks and was also the editor or co-editor of three North Dakota Blue Books. From 1988 to 2001, he was the social studies coordinator for the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. Curt is from Leeds, North Dakota and received his B.A. and M.A. in history at UND. Jan is from Bismarck, North Dakota and received her B.S. in business administration from Moorhead State University. The couple resides in Fargo with their dog, Rambo.
