Three Little Kittens (Merrill Publishing Company, 1942) is the third in a series of classic reproductions from the collections of the State Historical Society of North Dakota. The donor, North Dakota native, Dorothy Krile Novak, the daughter of John J. and Agnes Krile, grew up on a farm east of Pisek. The book was donated to the Society as part of a larger collection of children's books. Dorothy recalls, "These were my books as a kid, they were a gift." She can't remember the occasion on which she received Three Little Kittens but says she and her younger sister Ramona Krile "treasured it."

 The original edition is part of SHSND Collection #1995.110 at the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Slightly smaller than the original, this book was reprinted by the Heritage Center Museum Store, Bismarck, North Dakota.
